One of the things I like best about my studio space, is being able to hold fun events from time to time, like our very popular Ballerina Portraits event that just wrapped up it’s 4th year.  I like to mix things up and try some new events as well – and this year – one of our new events is this adorable set for Cowboy & Cowgirl Portraits, with a super cute boot background.  This set will look great whether your child is fully decked out in western-wear, or if they are just wearing jeans or a cute dress.

Sessions have a $25 fee to book, plus $15 to add a sibling.  Prints will start at $30, and packages will offer significant savings, and will begin at $79:

Package A – All digital image files + 5×10 storyboard + 30% off extras – $229

Package B – Choose (3) digital image files + 5×10 storyboard + 20% off extras – $179

Package C – Choose (6) desk prints + 10% off extras – $129

Cowboy & Cowgirl Portraits will be held Sunday, October 20th at our new studio located at 2673 Market Center Drive.  We are still located inside Wee Dreamscapes in the same shopping center – but are now towards the front, to the right of Office Max.  Sessions are 10 minutes long, or 15 with a sibling.  You will be amazed at how quickly we get 6-8 proofs for you!  Please bring your child dressed and ready to go – coming a few minutes before your scheduled session to get checked in.

These portraits are adorable for any young child – but are absolutely precious for babies as well.  We have on hand some rustic crates if your baby isn’t yet sitting up!  Note that our set is only 5 feet tall, so it’s best for younger children, but contact me if you are interested and have an older child, and we can chat!

You know you’re behind on blogging when one of your clients contacts you to schedule their baby’s 6-month session, and you haven’t yet blogged their newborn session.  I’m not sure why I waited so long – this is going to be a VERY picture-heavy post, because I just couldn’t resist sharing so many of these!  As with a lot of 2-year old big sisters – Zoe definitely wanted the spotlight, and I was able to spend some time with her while baby Autumn took breaks.  We played, read books, danced and had an all-around great time!  I love this family, and can’t wait to photograph sweet Autumn in all her sitting up glory!

It’s that time!!!  Now that the weather has cooled off a bit – it’s time to start thinking about scheduling those fall family portraits, and get an updated family picture for those holiday cards!  This year we are only offering one date for these – Sunday, November 17th.  We’ll be extending the hours a tiny bit to make sure we can accommodate as many as possible – but the times will likely book quickly.  We are also excited to be using a new location this year – it is a nature location near Texas Health/Rockwall Presbyterian Hospital.  In the sample below – the image of my daughter, and then the maternity image were both taken in this location – really pretty!

Sessions are $199, and include the 20-minute session (12-15 proofs), plus your choice of (6) desk prints, or (3) digital image files.  There will be an option to upgrade to receive all digital images for $125 – this is something you can decide after you view your online proofs.  Sessions are open to immediate families only – maximum of (4) children or (6) total people.

I am absolutely THRILLED to announce our fourth year for Ballerina Portraits, together with Dance Techniques.  Dance Techniques specializes in teaching young dancers the love of dance!  They teach in 18 area daycares and preschools, as well as offer evening classes every Wednesday in Rockwall.  The faces of Dance Techniques are Tiffany Edwards, Erika Webb and Lexi Edwards.  Tiffany will be at our event posing our sweet dancers into perfect poses – these are always so adorable!

New this year – you may not combine your session with two siblings, rather than schedule two separate spots.  There is a small additional session fee of $15 – but you may combine all pictures into one package now, making these more affordable than ever.

Ballerina Portraits will be held Saturday, September 28th at our new studio located at 2673 Market Center Drive.  We are still located inside Wee Dreamscapes in the same shopping center – but are now towards the front, to the right of Office Max.  Sessions are 10 minutes long, or 15 with a sibling.  You will be amazed at how quickly we get 6-8 proofs for you!  Please bring your dancer dressed and ready to go – coming a few minutes before your scheduled session to get checked in.  If you don’t have ballet shoes – we will have an assortment of sizes on hand for you to borrow.

These portraits are adorable for any young dancer – but are absolutely precious for babies as well.  We have on hand a light pink pettiskirt if you don’t have a ballerina outfit or leotard – we will make sure she looks picture perfect!

How sweet is this little baby girl?  I can’t wait to see how much she’s grown – these were taken in May – I’m still a little behind on blogging!  That red crate is courtesy of Redcrate Farm – a local produce CSA that offers YUMMY vegies!  Looking at these lovely portraits just solidifies for me the joy that taking these brings to me and my clients – she is so perfect and wonderful, and is only this small for a short time – so these are precious memories!  I look forward to seeing her at her ‘sitting up’ session in a few months!
