Back in May – Staci and I met on her property to shoot her bridal portraits. When she said they had a bit of land, I was excited – but I had no idea how beautiful it would be! And since she wore her cowboy boots with her dress – we just HAD to incorporate the blue tractor that sat out in the field – SO fun! Stay tuned for a post with pictures from Staci & Eddie’s wedding – also held in this same spot – it was beautiful as well!

USSome of you may know, that in addition to my custom portrait sessions, I also provide school pictures to a few select schools in the area. Pecan Creek Day School is a wonderful school for children age 12 months through kindergarten, and this spring I photographed their kiddos for the second time, with my own lovely mother as my assistant (who happened to be in town from Chicago – SURPRISE – you’re working today!). I received permission to share a few of the pictures I took that day – these two sisters are so dang gorgeous! I love this simple set that we did – the school was looking for plain headshot-style pictures for their annual yearbook. I also provided full-body pictures, sibling portraits, staff portraits and also class pictures. Pictures are done as a fundraiser – so the school not only gets nice portraits for their yearbook, but can raise funds for new supplies at the same time! We are currently seeking one more daycare or private school to add to our calendar – if you know the perfect fit – we’d love an introduction! And remember – when you refer us, and we land the job – you will receive $100 cash, or a $200 print credit as a thank you!

So – we are doing it all over again – this time with a really cool chalkboard background! Bright clothes really pop on this background, and we’ll also be able to create really cute mounted boards for you with some facts about your child – take a look at the sample below! Also – this year, in order to help out parents with more than one child – we are now allowing you to schedule a joint session for two kids – just choose the ‘add a sibling’ option when booking, and it will add on a bit more time for a small additional fee. You’ll be able to order one combined package, which will be a huge benefit and savings compared to last year! Note that these sessions can be used even for small children entering pre-K, pre-school, or even Mother’s Day Out. The only restriction is – our set is a bit ‘short’ this year – so if your child is more than about 4.5-feet tall – we will likely have them sit for us!
Sessions have a $25 fee to book, plus $15 to add a sibling. Prints will start at $30, and packages will offer significant savings, and will begin at $79:
Package A – All digital image files + choice of “chalkboard facts” mounted 8×10 or a 5×10 storyboard – $229
Package B – Choose (3) digital image files + “chalkboard facts” mounted 5×7 – $179

I was thrilled to be invited into their home to document the growth of their family as they added their fourth child. Each of their children has a unique personality, and while the baby took a milk break, I got a chance to spend some one-on-one time with each of his older siblings (I even let them jump on Mom & Dad’s bed – shhhhh!). These are the types of sessions I love – getting to know people so I can bring out their true selves through photography is what makes me love this job… 🙂
