USI was invited to tag along and help Lauren Ammerman capture Lesley & Kyle’s special day back in the fall. I’ve been meaning to add some of my favorite captures here – and just today decided it was time! Weddings are not something I do every weekend – but they are very special, and I love having a few on my calendar each year! Thanks to Lauren for trusting in me in capturing their day!

I love being able to go to someone’s home and walk around, and find pockets of light that you wouldn’t normally think of for pictures. At one point, I was standing on the landing of their stairs with one foot on the window sill, and one straddled to the railing, just so I could get that perfect angle and use the light coming in from that window. I also was able to use light in Brice’s room, and then we spent the last part of the session in the living room with really pretty light coming in the window behind them. The picture of Brice in the blue basket was actually taken on their wooden coffee table with me standing above – LOVE it!

We also figured out we could use the side of our building for walking shots – those were my favorites from the session!
